We awoke early, wandered around Chinatown for a bit, and then headed for the Commons. Madi and Kay had a nice run and met two little girls of their age and payed for about half an hour. We even went over to see the swans with them.
We had hoped for a duck tour (the girls love them), but by the time we walked to the Prudential Center the "next available" was 4 hours off, so instead we purchased tickets for 9am tomorrow.
We had lunch, and wandered back to pick up the Freedom Trail. We did take a shortcut on the BART - and the girls thought that a grand adventure!
We debarked right in the middle of the Mayor's Cup - a truly world class bike racing event where we were able to cheer on several Olympians!
After we cheered ourselves hoarse, we met up with Paul and Leah (mommy and daddy to the girls) and my nephews Paul and Robert at Quincy Market, where we wandered a bit more and stopped for chowder and oysters. Mmm, mmm!
Tomorrow morning we have our tour, visit my nephews at Harvard, and then head back home to NJ. I am sure we will be as tired as I am right now - but also as happy!
Girls Day in Boston!
